Linen

Linen

Made from the flax plant, an annual crop ready to harvest in about one hundred days. Exceptionally strong, it turns softer with every wash. Breathable and thermoregulatory: it keeps you warm in winter and cool in summer. The fabric comes from our partner Baltic Flax, and the pieces are sewn in Vilnius.

The flax for our linen grows in France, Belgium and the Netherlands and is certified European Flax. After the harvest the stalks dry in the open air for several weeks before they are threshed into fibre.

Linen is naturally moth resistant and absorbs moisture, which is why it works the whole year round. In the heat it breathes, and in the cold it keeps you warm.

To keep it, wash it cold at 30 degrees or cooler on a delicate cycle, inside out, with a mild detergent and no fabric softener. Air dry it flat or on a wide hanger, and iron it on the linen setting while it is still slightly damp. The relaxed crease is part of its character.

Linen is the fibre at the heart of our Workwear, cut and sewn in Vilnius. More in our linen care guide.
